Roadmap

Where NativeFlow has just been and where it is heading. The shipped list is fact; the exploring list is direction, and it moves as we learn from the people doing the work.

Recently shipped

  • Grow — nursery production, stock and sales

Batches with an append-only production ledger, scannable labels, live stock, contract-grow allocations against project species targets, and orders, dispatch and Square invoicing.

  • Restore — planting, maintenance and establishment monitoring

Mapped zones and plans, offline planting and evidence, assigned recurring maintenance, persistent monitoring units, cohort results, review and proposed corrective work.

  • Seed-lot labels and public verification

Printable QR labels for lots and containers, per-lot certificates, and an opt-in public page a buyer or auditor can scan to confirm a lot.

  • Per-person site and project access

Individual sites and projects can be restricted to assigned people, with everything recorded under them following the same rule.

  • Audio notes with reviewed transcription

Spoken field notes recorded offline, played back in the portal, and transcribed into manager-reviewed text.

  • Collection outlook from field phenology

Seed-timing expectations for each site built from what crews actually observed, with per-species seed-hold behaviour.

  • The manual, inside the product

The user manual is written against the code and ships in the portal, so it describes the product you are actually using.

Exploring

  • Outcomes and acquittal reporting for Restore

Establishment measured against what a project set out to achieve, and the evidence pack a funder asks for at the end. Collection plans have one; planting programmes do not yet.

  • Installable Android build

The field app installs from the browser today and syncs while it is open. A packaged Android build that keeps draining the queue after it is closed is the next thing for managed devices.

  • Notification delivery beyond the portal

Reminders currently appear on the portal bell. Delivery by email is the obvious next step.

  • Offline base maps

Records and forms already work without signal; cached map tiles would let the base map come too.

  • Batch label printing

Labels currently print one lot or container at a time.

  • Richer dashboards and reporting

Filters, custom date ranges and exports on the dashboard, beyond the fixed views it shows today.

  • More reference datasets

IBRA bioregions and local government areas are loaded now; NRM regions and catchments are candidates to join them.

  • Per-project roles

Visibility can already be narrowed per site or project; what someone can do is still one role across the organisation.
