Collect · Grow · Restore

The Australian Native Plant Platform.

Seed collection, nursery production and restoration planting on one record — so what goes in the ground still names the seed it came from.

Three hubs, one record

Seed becomes stock. Stock becomes a planting.

Each hub covers one stretch of that chain, on the same organisations, sites, species and people. All three are open, and every plan includes all three. The chain was built as one record from the start.

A single continuous landscape running left to right: open eucalypt woodland with a map and permissions, a collector recording a plant on a phone, seed packets and jars on a store shelf, nursery benches of tubestock under shade cloth, and a planted seedling being watered in on a revegetation site.

  5. RestoreZones, planting plans, plantings, traceability
One connected record from the wild population to the ground — provenance stays attached as seed becomes stock, stock becomes a planting, and the planting still points back to the seed.

Collect

Plan fieldwork, capture it offline on a phone, and keep every seed lot joined to the plant, place and permission it came from.

Explore Collect

Grow

Nursery production, stock and sales. Sowing draws from the seed lot, so a batch on the bench still knows where its seed was collected.

Explore Grow

Restore

Zones, planting plans and planting records. A planting consumes the batches that went in the ground, and still points back down the chain to the seed.

The record you have now

Most seed records are assembled after the fact.

The collection happened months ago. The evidence is spread across a phone, a notebook, a shared drive and somebody's memory. It can usually be reconstructed, but only by the person who was there, and only if they still work here.

  • Provenance you cannot prove when a buyer, auditor or funder asks for it.
  • A permit that lapsed because the reminder lived in somebody's inbox.
  • Datasheets transcribed twice, and photos still sitting in a camera roll.
  • Two spreadsheets that disagree about what is actually in the freezer.

Inside Collect · in the collector's hand

Everything needed for a clear field record.

The job, the plant list and the photo prompts are all on the phone, in a shape the person holding it can work at speed.

01

What you're there to do

The job, the sites and the species list are already on the phone.

02

Works with no signal

Save to the device first, then sync when reception returns.

03

GPS you can trust

Every position is saved with how precise the fix was, in metres.

04

Guided photos

Prompts in the moment for the shots that make a record usable later.

05

Collections and observations

Record what was collected and what the plant was doing.

06

Come back to the same plant

A revisit lands on that plant's history, alongside every earlier visit.

07

Your own forms

Change a form whenever you need to. Past records keep the form they were captured on.

See the evidence, then see where it belongs.

Observations and photographs remain connected to known plants and return visits.

Inside Collect · a collection day

Plan. Collect. Trace.

One record follows the work, even when responsibility moves between the office, the field and the seed store.

Connected provenance

The seed lot does not begin at the shelf.

A useful record carries the relationship between plant, place, permission, collection and lot. NativeFlow holds those links open, so you can still walk back up them years later.

Australian field reality

Built around the conditions and context of the work.

01

Australian plant context

Species names, taxonomy and occurrence data come from the Atlas of Living Australia.

02

Built around the seed supply chain

Sourcing, collection, processing, testing and storage follow the chain set out in the Florabank Guidelines, the national reference for native seed collection and use.

03

Permission evidence

Approvals and their supporting files stay visible beside the work they cover.

04

Sensitive locations

Your organisation controls who can view exact plant coordinates and original photo metadata.

05

Australian field conditions

Every hub captures work on a phone with no signal, because that is where most of this work happens.

06

We show our working

Readiness signals name their source. NativeFlow records the decision; the ecological and legal judgement stays yours.

Native-seed stewardship

Good records keep future choices open.

Native seed may support seed banking, research, cultural practice, revegetation, nursery supply or other work. Whatever the seed is for, the record is the same: a durable, reviewable account of what happened.

Australian data hosting
Core field records and files are stored in Australia.
Your records are yours
Only your organisation can see your data. The database enforces that boundary itself, a layer below the app.
